MP FOR TAMALE CENTRAL NEARS THE ACHIEVEMENT OF HIS DREAMS

The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Constituency, Alhaji Abdulai Inusah Fuseini now appears to have arose to the President John Evans Atta Mills avowed quest of ensuring a better Ghana, as he strives hard to initiate and execute a large number of developmental projects geared towards the alleviation of the suffering of his constituents.

Within two years into his four year tenure as legislator for the Tamale Central Constituency, he has executed eight (8) different developmental projects all running into several millions of Ghanaian cedis.

Alhaji Inusah Fuseini promised to bring his people quality education, efficient healthcare delivery, pipe-borne water and alleviate poverty amongst them through credit schemes. So far, one can say the MP has almost achieved the targets he set for himself and stand the chance of getting his mandate being renewed by the people come 2012. He has sponsored several students at both the second cycle and tertiary levels.

The projects he has executed so far include the provision of pipe-borne water to the people of Duanayili (GH¢10,000.00), 3 unit classroom block for Anbariya English and Arabic Schools (GH¢85,000.00) at Sakasaka, 6 unit classroom block for Kulikuli Primary and Junior High Schools (GH¢150,000.00) at Changli and 9 unit classroom block for Salafiya English and Arabic Schools (GH¢200,000.00) at Gumbihini.

The rest are 3 unit classroom block including office, store and library for St. Joseph R/C Primary and Junior High Schools (GH¢202,000.00) at Changli, 6 unit classroom block for Police Barracks Primary and Junior High Schools (GH¢160,000.00) at Police Barracks, 12 unit two storey classroom block for Queen Elisabeth Day Nursery (GH¢416,959.90) at Tishigu and a clinic (GH¢50,000.00) for the Sabongida Zongo Community.

So far, four of such projects have been completed and about to handed over to the beneficiary communities. They include the pipe-borne water project at Duanayili, Anbariya Primary English and Arabic Schools, Kulikuli Primary and Junior High Schools and Salafiya English and Arabic Schools.

The rest are also at the roofing stages whiles some few others are also under construction or at the foundation level.

The Tamale Central Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Alhaji Ibrahim Yusif Abdellah Andani who was briefing the media during an inspection tour of the latest project being executed by the Member of Parliament (construction of 12 unit two storey classroom block), said the MP also donated 420 classroom desk and teachers desk including chairs to Salafiya English and Arabic School valued at GH¢45,000.00.

The projects which are geared towards the promotion of quality basic education, quality healthcare delivery among others were financed courtesy the GETfund, the MP’s share of the District Assembly Common Fund and National Health Insurance Authourity.

Speaking on behalf of Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who was outside the country on an important national assignment, the constituency Chairman said quality of education in the area had not been remarkable as a result of the various challenges such as lack of classrooms, furniture, learning materials among others that confronted the schools.

According to Alhaji Ibrahim Andani, education was the basis of every economy and it is the responsibility of the current leader of the society mostly traditional rulers and politicians to create the requisite environment for the young ones to learn.

Meanwhile, the Assemblyman, chief, opinion leaders and NDC members in the Tishigu Electoral Area are full of praise to the MP, thanking him for being the first person to put up a storey building as classroom block for his constituents. Like Oliver Twist, they are now asking Alhaji Abdulai Inusah Fuseini who is also Deputy Minister for Energy to tar link roads in their area.
