The Head of the Northern Regional Education Directorate, Elizabeth De-Souza has expressed disquiet about professional teachers who often decline to accept posting to deprived communities in the area.
According to her, the conduct of such unruly teachers is affecting government’s agenda of promoting quality education at such places.
Madam De-Souza was speaking at the investiture of an estimated 250 volunteer teachers who received professional training at the Bagabaga College of Education in Tamale under the Untrained Teachers Diploma in Basic Education (UTDBE) programme.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Savelugu-Nanton, Prince Mohammed Askia commended Childreach International Ghana for complementing government’s efforts at ensuring increased number of trained teachers in the country.
